Parts warehouse.
Volkswagen have invested heavily to create a state-of-the-art parts warehouse and distribution centre. This £23m investment is aimed at giving all our customers high quality, fast and efficient parts turn-around all over the UK.
Centralisation of this operation means that whether you order a light bulb or a large body panel, orders can be dealt with and distributed within 24 hours. This is critical when dealing with fleet vehicles that are essential for your business to run efficiently.
This is why we have located the warehouse in the region known as ‘The Golden Triangle’ in the heart of the motorway network, which means that it has close access to the West Coast railway line and is only around 15 miles from Birmingham.
The site occupies around 40 acres and provides 64,000m2 of warehouse footprint and 76,000m2 total floor space. To manage the targeted 90,000 part numbers held in the warehouse we employ 250 permanent staff. There are even onsite conference and training facilities.
The current site is designed to support growth until 2010, with further room for expansion for beyond.
