VW Van Centre:
Volkswagen commercial vehicles awards excellence across the UK.
Volkswagen Van Centres from across the UK have been honoured in the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles 2008 Awards of Excellence.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner hosted by TV and radio presenter, Gabby Logan, during a conference in Monte Carlo, recognising outstanding achievements in eight categories: Customer Service, Aftersales, Used Vehicles, People Development, Marketing, Fleet, Lifestyle, and Finance and Insurance. In addition, overall winning Van Centres were selected from comparable sized businesses in three leagues - Caddy, Transporter, Crafter.
The winners of each category were:
- Customer Service - Martins Van Centre, Basingstoke, Hants
- Aftersales - Eurovans (Eastbourne), East Sussex
- Used Vehicles - Colbornes Van Centre, Guildford, Surrey
- People Development - Southern Motor Group (Croydon), Surrey
- Marketing - Breeze Van Centre (Poole), Dorset
- Fleet - Volkswagen Van Centre (Lancashire), Preston
- Lifestyle - Volkswagen Van Centre (Manchester)
- Finance and Insurance - Cordwallis Heathrow, Middlesex
The overall winners in the Caddy, Transporter and Crafter leagues were:
- Caddy league - South Hereford Van Centre, Herefordshire
- Transporter league - Heritage Volkswagen Van Centre (Westbury), Wiltshire
- Crafter league - Benfield Van Centre, Newcastle Upon Tyne

The 2008 Awards of Excellence coincided with celebrations of another record year for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, plus the launch of a new model - the Caddy Maxi - which joins the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle van range between the best-selling Caddy and Transporter models.
