Unlock new capabilities for your ID. Buzz with flexible upgrades like navigation, assist systems or smart air conditioning. To purchase and use these upgrades, you'll need a Volkswagen ID user account, a valid VW Connect contract, and primary user authentication, which involves linking your user account to your specific vehicle. Ensure your ID. Buzz has the necessary technical functions and hardware to support the desired upgrades.

As the primary user, you can view available upgrade functions for your vehicle in the In-Car Shop within the infotainment system. Payment methods can be stored in the Volkswagen Connect web shop for fee-based products, and you have the option to pay by bank transfer in the In-Car Shop. Once purchased and activated, these upgrade features remain in your ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo, accessible to all drivers, and cannot be transferred to other vehicles.

Looking for better guidance on unfamiliar routes? Activate the navigation functions for your Ready 2 Discover infotainment system and upgrade your ID. Buzz Cargo with intuitive navigation. You'll enjoy a permanent 2D map view of Europe and access to points of interest (POIs) to discover exciting places on the go.

In addition to these practical offline features, you can access helpful online services with VW Connect Plus. Intelligent functions like near-real-time traffic information, predictive route guidance, and searches for charging stations and parking spaces, along with regular map updates, keep you informed and help you avoid traffic jams. It allows you to transfer selected apps directly to your infotainment system's display, making it easy to access music, news, audiobooks, or maps while on the road.

Use Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ technologies from Google to connect to App-Connect, even wirelessly. It's incredibly convenient.

Adaptive Cruise Control ACC

How to activate upgrades for your ID. Buzz

Requirements for upgrades

To purchase upgrades, your ID. Buzz must have software version 3.2 or higher and meet the technical requirements for the specific function. Once you are registered for VW Connect and verified as the primary user in your vehicle, you can begin upgrading.

Purchasing upgrades

You can find and purchase all available upgrades for your ID. Buzz in the In-Car Shop within your infotainment system or in the Volkswagen Connect Shop. The product overview provides all the information you need about each function.

Activating upgrades

To activate upgrades, your vehicle must be online. Once payment is received, the new function will be installed and ready for use the next time you start your ID. Buzz.

Using upgrades

Once activated, the new function can also be used offline. Certain features, like navigation, include additional online capabilities that are accessible with an active data connection through VW Connect Plus.
