How to activate and use VW Connect

Register now and take advantage
In order to connect your vehicle to VW Connect services, you must log in with your Volkswagen ID user account. Simply use the link below and then click on “Sign in or register”.
In-Car Shop and In-Car Apps – as easy as on your smartphone
As a VW Connect customer, you can buy and download useful functions and services directly from the In-Car Shop on your infotainment system. Discover the In-Car Apps like Spotify and other features that can be activated to keep your Volkswagen up-to-date with digital needs. You can also easily extend your VW Connect Plus license for one or two more years through the In-Car Shop, enjoying the full range of mobile online services.

“IDA” voice assistant: ChatGPT makes your vehicle even smarter
Turn your vehicle into an intelligent conversation partner: simply say “Hello IDA!” – and control functions such as radio, telephone or navigation conveniently with your voice. The “IDA” voice assistant understands freely formulated, everyday questions and statements such as “I’m cold.” Or “What is the weather like in London?”. Specific voice commands are no longer necessary. In addition, IDA uses digital microphones to recognise whether the driver or the front passenger is speaking, for example to adjust the air conditioning accordingly. All interactions can be clearly traced on the centre display.
The AI-based chatbot ChatGPT makes IDA even smarter: with the new Chat Pro function, which is now available in the online voice assistant in your Volkswagen, you can access the ever-growing artificial intelligence database for information, research – or simply for entertainment.
