Download the free Volkswagen App for your smartphone. The Volkswagen App for Android is available in the Google Play Store or the App Store for iOS.

If you have previously installed the We Connect app please ensure that you have the latest version now called the Volkswagen app to continue to have access to the same functionality. 

Log into the app using your VW Connect account. If you haven't set up an account yet, the app will guide you through each step of the registration process.

Now you can pair your vehicle to the account via the vehicle’s infotainment system and set yourself as the Primary User. Depending on the vehicle model, there are 3 different ways to do this. Watch our simple step-by-step guide in the videos below. 

To complete pairing in the vehicle infotainment system, select 'Users' from the menu:

• Sign in to your VW Connect account as a new user
• Conclude the VW Connect contract 
• Select 'Become Primary User' 
• Select 'Synchronise' - you should now see the vehicle in your mobile app and can take advantage of the VW Connect features.
