Making your electric vehicle range work harder

Speed plays one of the most decisive factors in vehicle range. Put simply, the higher the speed, the greater the drain on the battery. 

Many EVs allow you to recharge the battery through regenerative braking. By automatically using the wheels to drive the motor in reverse while decelerating, your EV can recover the kinetic energy normally wasted while braking, turn it into electricity and store it in the battery.

Underinflated tyres can be considerably less efficient. Make sure your tyres are inflated to the manufacturer’s recommendation to avoid losing out on valuable range.

Just like with ICE vehicles, heating and air conditioning can be a drain on efficiency. To avoid consuming energy when you’re on the road, simply use the We Connect ID. app on your smartphone to switch on the heating or air conditioning to pre-heat or pre-cool the vehicle while it’s still plugged in.
