The Tetris Challenge: no match for the Multivan

We’ve all either witnessed or encountered the struggles of trying to squeeze a large family into a car, there never seems to be enough space to seat everyone comfortably and store all the essentials for everyday life and on-the-go holidaying. Too often, the question is, do you prioritise storage or seating? But why can’t you have both? Enter the Volkswagen Multivan.

Designed with comfort, practicality, and versatility in mind, the Multivan comes with an all-new, modular seating concept, providing space for up to seven seats and the flexibility to move, rotate or remove any of the five rear seats, to suit the individual requirements of a family, no matter the size.

This van is about more than just space, though. In a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles first, the new Multivan is available as a plug-in hybrid making journeys smooth, comfortable, and efficient.

To test the Multivan’s flexibility, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles challenged family-oriented Instagram influencer, Paul Tremain (@themultidad),Opens an external link to take on the Tetris Challenge, and fit as much as he could in the van, using as much of the available space as possible. And, as it turns out, packing all the kit (and the kids) into the Multivan was a breeze!

Paul Tremain, father of three, was particularly fond of the multifunction table that kept his kids occupied during those longer journeys, and the Multivan’s car-like manoeuvrability – despite its definite van-like spaciousness.

“It may have the appearance of a van but it drives like a car, brilliant turning circle and inside the infotainment set-up is ultra-modern. In the back, the kids enjoyed tray tables, charging points for their tablets and most of all a centre console table for games that slides up and down the runners depending on where you need it.” Paul Tremain

With an unrivalled sense of space, innovative storage, and modular seating system, the Multivan can provide any sized family with everything they need – and all of our competitors agreed it passed the Tetris Challenge with flying colours.

The versality of this vehicle reflects how families change and grow.
