The Transporter Kombi​

A Transporter Kombi is Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' crew van variant of the Transporter. It sits between a traditional panel van and a passenger shuttle, combining passenger seating and load-carrying capability in one vehicle.

The Transporter Kombi offers seating for five as standard (up to six), while retaining a practical load area for tools, equipment or luggage.

With two individual front seats and three individual rear seats that fold, tumble forward or can be removed completely, it quickly adapts between crew transport and cargo space.

If you need extra passenger capacity, you can choose the optional six-seat configuration. This replaces the front passenger seat with a dual passenger bench, allowing the Kombi to carry up to six occupants and giving you even greater flexibility.

Kombi is Volkswagen's name for that type of vehicle. In practice "Kombi" and "crew cab van" mean essentially the same thing.

The current Volkswagen Transporter Kombi provides seating for five as standard (up to six seats) while retaining a spacious load area without bulkhead.

The Transporter Kombi has space for up to two Euro pallets with second row removed.  Depending on the wheelbase, luggage compartment floor length ranges from 2,622 mm (SWB) to 3,022 mm (LWB) behind the first row, and from 1,632 mm (SWB) to 2,032 mm (LWB) behind the second row.

The Transporter Kombi is available in short wheelbase (5,050 mm) and long wheelbase (5,450 mm) body styles, with a maximum load compartment width of 1,649 mm, roof load capacity of 170 kg and a turning circle from 11.9 m, making it as practical in tight spaces as it is on the job.

The Transporter Kombi is specifically designed for businesses that need to transport both people and equipment. The Kombi is available in different specifications, including Commerce Plus, Commerce Pro, Commerce Pro S and Sportline trims, with diesel, eHybrid and all-electric powertrains available.

The Transporter Kombi offers a choice of diesel, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains. TDI diesel engines are available with 110 PS, 150 PS and 170 PS, while the eHybrid delivers 232 PS and up to 33 miles^⁠6. The fully electric e‑Transporter Kombi is available with 136 PS, 218 PS or 286 PS with a range up to 227 miles^⁠2.

Depending on the chosen engine and configuration, manual, automatic and 4MOTION all-wheel drive options are also available.

The Transporter Kombi comes with a range of driver assistance systems designed to support you on every journey. Cruise Control, Front Assist with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring, Lane Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display and wrong-way driver warning come as standard. Front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera are also standard.

Depending on trim, Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Jam Assist and Blind Spot Assist with exit warning provide additional support. For improved visibility when parking, you can also upgrade to the 360-degree Area View camera.

An optional digital rear-view mirror with dashcam function can record a 30-second video when fitted with an SD card if an incident occurs, which can be viewed in the Volkswagen mobile app..
